With over 1.3  million square feet of commercial laboratory space in a campus setting, the Alexandria Center for Life Science is a one-of-a-kind home to world-class pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.  This Flagship complex is located at 29th St and 1st Ave between Bellevue Hospital and NYU Medical Center. It is a state-of-the-art research and development campus, serving and expanding the life sciences sector in the heart of New York City.

AECOM/Tishman Construction, a leading builder in the Life Sciences market, was commissioned by Alexandria Real Estate Equities (ARE), a visionary in the life sciences sector, to build the property.   Adco, a proud trade partner, provided the electrical infrastructure and power support for base building generators, bus duct risers, all electric closet fit outs, buildout of IDFs, MDF and mechanical air handling equipment for this 30 story, state of the art research and development tower.

Today the building’s 50+ roster of tenants include the top pharmaceutical and biotech companies in the world. Adco has continued to provide interior construction services to many of the tenants as well as on-going service and maintenance to Alexandria Real Estate Equities.

Alexandria Real Estate Equities project team included RMJM Hillier, Jacobs KlingStubbins, and Jaros Baum & Bolles as well as AECOM/Tishman.
